Stakeholders in Nigeria’s aviation sector are preparing to map out how to address issues facing the industry.
The 28th Annual Conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents will center around the theme of “Aviation Survivability amidst a Challenging Macro-Economic Environment.”
This was said in a press release on Tuesday that was signed by Chinedu Eze, the chairman of the conference planning committee. The important discussion meeting is scheduled to take place in Lagos on Friday, July 26, 2024.
According to Eze, the difficult economic situation in the nation has made it more difficult for Nigeria’s aviation industry to grow and develop. These difficulties include limited access to foreign exchange, a declining value of the national currency, high fuel and maintenance costs, inadequate airport infrastructure, regulatory restrictions, a growing need for labor, the need for technological advancements, and concerns about passenger comfort, among other things that demand the immediate attention of industry stakeholders.
Eze said that companies in the aviation and related industries had also benefited from the event’s sponsorship opportunities to market their goods and services.
He said, “This year’s conference is peculiar because it will focus on the industry’s survival and sustenance, which constitutes a major subject of discussion in a time like this.
“There shall be both physical and virtual participation in the conference to enable participation of stakeholders from across the world.”
