President Bola Tinubu has declared that the Nigerian Navy will put into service two helicopters and three recently acquired warships. These announcements were made by Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of the Naval Staff.

Vice Admiral Ogalla announced that the President will open the International Maritime Exhibition on Sunday, where local and foreign businesses involved in maritime security will showcase their goods and services, during an interdenominational church service in Abuja to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

In addition, the Chief of Naval Staff urged all Nigerian Navy officers, ratings, and civilian employees to serve with the highest professionalism, devotion, and patriotism.

In order to stop the nation’s oil theft and instability, he emphasized the importance of efficient teamwork and collaboration.

Aside from senior military and paramilitary personnel and their families, dignitaries from the public and private sectors also attended the event, which took place in the Queen of Martyr Catholic Church in Mogadishu cantonment.
