Sudan’s warring generals have agreed a seven-day ceasefire, bringing hope of a break in heavy fighting as the deadly conflict enters its sixth week.
Over 1000 people have been killed and over a million displaced since fighting broke out in mid-April.
The ceasefire calls for the distribution of humanitarian assistance, restoring of essential services and the withdrawal of forces from hospitals and critical public facilities.
